Default I'm back!

Well everyone, I'm back. I was on the Atkins diet for 6 weeks and was doing great. This support group was really helping me to keep on track. Then my computer crashed (no computer for 5 weeks!) and several birthdays and holidays were celebrated and I lost all control. I totally lost focus. I don't have a good support system at home (my friends were thrilled when I went off the diet. They said it was too hard to hang out with me when I was on it because I was always saying I couldn't eat what they were making). Well, now I have my computer back and am looking forward to hearing from you. I really think I can stick with the Atkins way of life now. I've looked back at the last 11 weeks and I know I was happier and full of more energy during the 6 weeks when I was low carbing. I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!

I started low carbing at 198lbs. I weighed 179 when I quit. I am now starting induction at 185.

Hi Mthrmayi2!

Welcome back! Sometimes the hardest part is making the decision to recommit yourself, so congratulations on your decision to get back on the wagon for good! I'm sure you'll be successful! Good luck!

Hello from Canada!

Good luck making things work with your friends. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a compromise. You can cook your own dishes, or if you go out with them, you can usually piece together a decent low carb meal at most restaurants.

Those six pounds will fly off and you'll be back at your 179 point again very soon. Best of luck to you!

Thumbs up

Another hello from Canada,
I find restraunts easy. When I go to anyones house I check that there will be a meat and vegg dish & I offer to bring the dessert.
Last one I made was a yummie cheese cake and they never knew it was lowcarb! They just wanted the recipe!
You can do it!
