As Doctor A says in his book "If you're not exercising you're not doing the plan".

Not exercising may be why you're not losing, it may be other things as well, however. You might want to start up a journal - it's a good way to help figure out these things.

Have you measured? Using a tape measure is a more accurate way of gauging progress than the scale.

Default Excersize is Good!

Excersize is good to do for many reasons but you can lose weight without excersize with many diets. I lost 37 lbs in 3.5 months with little excersize but I stayed in induction the whole time.

I suggest you do try to excersize even start walking because overall it can make you feel better. Also when you change your diet - fitting excersize into your schedule may help you stay away from food.

Walking - treadmill, cycling all help burn calories and improve cardiovascular condition.

As we get older we lose muscle mass every year say after your late 30's. Our muscles atrophy or waste away as we get older. The only way to maintain muscle mass is to do resistance training like weight lifting.

Default Gotta agree

Dont try too hard to start a formal program, but committ to eachother that you will walk -say 30" after each meal- the activity benefits in so many ways- have fun and do challenges with eachother-whoever doesnt walk has to do a load of the other ones laundry Hope you are both loosing soon-

Thumbs up

You should do some sort of movement to get the optimum weight loss and toning. I did very little exercise during my first 6 months on Atkins and although I lost inches and pounds my body was flabby and "blech". Since I started exercising (and now even more so) I have a body toneness and firmness that I havene't had in a very very long time.
