Default Now why would you pour Coke on a perfectly good ham!?!

Easter Sunday we went to dh's grandmother's for dinner. I had already checked into what the menu would be so that I would know what if anything that I could eat. She told me ham, broccoli, green beans, etc...those were the only things that I could eat.

I took one bite of the ham and it was soooo good. While I was preparing to take the next bite, someone asked whether Granny had followed her advice and poured coke on it. The answer of course was yes. gggrrrrrr I was so upset. How could they do that to a perfectly good ham!?! DH told me that it had all cooked off of it and that I should eat it, but I didn't. I didn't want to take any chances!! And I'm glad because I have lost 3 pounds since Sunday-bringing me to a total of 35 pounds!

I should add that I found the kids colored eggs and ate 2 of them instead of the ham.

Woo hoo! Stick with what you're comfortable with. Too bad the inlaws didn't use diet coke! (I have actually done this with roasts - the acidity of the pop tenderizes the meat).

I pour beer over mine - I used Michelob Ultra (2.4 carbs per 12 oz) so I stayed Low Carb

Wow 35 lb loss so far!! GOOD GOING. I lost 1/2 lb (my scale) since Sunday too and I have been doing not so great in the eating department (and water department).

Keep it up!
