Default Need advice, I lied to Hubby!

Hey everyone, I just need advice for a lie I told Hubby.

I've been buying some low carb bread from our local low carb Market that is absolutely delicious. It's not spongy like other low carb breads. When you toast it, it has a crunch to it like Iron kids bread or Wonder bread, and it is white in color with only 2 total carbs per slice, 1 carb minus the fiber. Well yesterday Hubby told me to keep buying this bread because he really liked it. (He sticks with the basics, he usually doesn't eat low carb tortillas etc., He sticks with meat & vegetables). Well he asked how much the bread sold for and I pulled out the receipt and it was $7.00! Yikes! As I was looking at the receipt I was in shock and I told him it was $5.00 and I quickly crumpled up the receipt and threw it in the trash. I never paid attention to the price when I bought it because one of the customers at the market told me it was the best bread she had ever tasted, so of course I had to try it out. Now my question is do I:
A) Keep buying the bread and tell him it's only $5.00.
B) Tell him the manufacturer went out of business so they don't sell it anymore.
C) Put iron kids bread in the low carb wrapper so he will stall as I continue to lose weight.
D) Tell him that due to inflation they had to raise the price of the bread to $7.00.
E) Be honest.

Thanks for your Help!

BE HONEST. You don't want him thinking, if she lied about this what else would she lie about.

IMO anyways, I think you should always be honest, to everyone, but especially to your life long partner.

Thanks for your advice. Now, does the answer change if I tell you that he's thin and arrogant? Only kidding. LOL

Personally IMHO I wouldn't tell him you lied. Just next time you buy it say, "I thought it was only $5 but its $7, are you sure you want me to keep buying it?"

Gotta admit though $7 is a lot for a loaf of bread though. I'd still buy it if it was only me eating it and I kept it in the freezer and only ate it once in awhile. That's what I already do with the Food for Life low carb bread and the ATkins bread. They are both really good but I like the Food for life one better.

That is what I would tell him and leave it at that.

Default Do you really have to...

Wow, I must be the lucky one here... DH gets his sallary directly to the bank account and then it's up to me, and only me to decide where does the money go, I give him pocket money for his monthly needs besides providing anything he needs (pc magazines, tobaco, wine, etc). He does the shopping with me, because he loves it, but I keep the budget at home. Ok, DH says he's really bad when it comes about money so better leave that stuff to me. Isn't he the best?

Of course having that absolute trust and devotion I wouldn't dare to do funny stuff with the money.

Anyway, back to the subject. My grandma always told me: las mentiras tienen patas cortas, meaning lies are shortlegged... can run but not fast enough and always get caught.

You better tell him the real price girl, he might catch this tiny, absurd lie and begin to lose his trust on you, and that's something that should never get lost in a relationship. Losing his trust in future for a loaf of bread? as good as it can be?

Sounds good to me. Don't keep on lying about it, but this would tell him the truth about the real price & let him decide.

Wink Young Lady!!!!

My advice is this. Tell him the truth. But here is how you do it.

Approach him with a hairbrush in your hand. Tell him you were afraid of his reaction to the price so you told him 5 instead of seven. Then hand him the hairbrush and turn and bend over so he can spank yer little behind...and then don't lie anymore.
