Talking Doreen must be psychic!!!

Hello all! Does anyone remember Doreen typing this....

Whoa, I saw a post by otenn, then the word pregnancy ... I was all set to jump in here with congrats, and well .... congrats on the 52 lbs!! That's a big baby

in response to my post about finally achieving PRE pregancy weight from my first baby....

Well, looks like number two is on the way!!! Yaaah! I am excited, but also scared to death. I feel much more confident that I won't gain 52 lbs with this pregnancy but I'm sitting here, feeling overwhelming morning sickness and I can't even imagine sticking a cracker in my face. (Crackers practically sustained me for three months last time). I have to research what to do about Atkins while pregnant. I've already searched out the relavent threads here, and it looks like I can stick to maintenance plan, but I need to do some serious research because I am really fearful of eating off plan. I'm going to have a difficult time, MENTALLY dealing with eating a slice of whole wheat bread....Well, we'll see.

In the meantime, I'm just going to enjoy the morning sickness and sore boobs and getting up 3 times a night to pee... I forgot how much fun this is.

Thanks in advance for all your congratulations.

Mari

Cool Congratulations Mari & Ed

Great news! Here's to a happy, healthy new baby! (Just read shelley's reply ... for a minute, I had a bit of a flinch reflex -- I thought she was recommending ice for the sore boobs .. )

Anyhoooo ... thought I'd throw a low-carb BABY SHOWER for you.

Enjoy!!!!

Wink Baby congrats!!

Hi Mari,
How exciting!!! Will you be able to drink milk during the pregnancy? I know you need to get enough calcium. You sound like you are truly motivated to have a healthy pregnancy. And being off sweets will be much better for the baby. This website should be a real asset in finding out info on how to go about this while pregnant. I hope the best for you and your new little one. Default morning sickness

Congratulations....sorry about your morning sickness. I can relate to forgeting delivering...BUT morning sickness you never forget..sleeping on the bathroom floor isn't much fun.

I'm way out of date on "morning sickness" medicines, but if it's real bad, I sure hope your Dr. has something you can take. (Years ago, they actually let us take something).

For the record...some of can get up three times a night to pee....and we're far from pregnant!!!

Best wishes.....keep us up to date on your progress.

Congratulations!

One fear that I have is falling pregnant before I hit my goal. I'm so happy for you and I'm glad that I'll have someone to learn from just in case I do fall preggie on my way to goal.

Please keep me up to date on your progress.

Take care

CONGRATULATIONS....

I don't see why you can' t do low carb with child... like you said it will take some fine tuning... to me.. it seems like it would be much healthier... I have heard women who eat a lot of carbs or sugar during prego... actually deliver much bigger babies... (interesting).. So don't be surprised if your little one is a small one... but healthy.. and asks for 'cordon bleu' upon arrival!!!!!

My best to you

Ramona

You're my hero, Mari! My husband & I hope to expand our family after the first of the year. It will be nice to have another LC modified person who can lead the way and tell me what to do, and what to avoid.

Congratulations!!!
