Default Lo-Carb Delight - New store on Whyte Ave - Edmonton

Hi fellow Edmontonians!

I popped into this new low carb store today - Lo-Carb Delight. It's right on Whyte Avenue, between 109 & 108 Street. (Thanks to Luminette for mentioning that it had opened.) The shelves are getting stocked up, and she has a fridge (with, among other items, mini low-carb cheese cakes - for future reference of course! ), and will be stocking a freezer as well.

Right now she has wraps for 25% off! On Thursday night (April 8th) she will be doing a taste testing after regular hours - from 7:00 to 10:00pm - and will have some other items on sale.

The grand opening will be on Saturday, April 17th, and there will be taste testing and specials.

I think it's worth checking out. I thought the prices were reasonable, and it's nice to see products in one place.

It's great to see Edmonton getting the products that we want too!

Thumbs up

Hi,
I visited this store a few weeks ago and bought the La Tiara brand Taco Shells. Wow are they ever good. They have one gram of carb per shell. They are a lighter texture than 'regular' taco shells. They don't appear to be marketed or specially made as a 'Low-Carb' food. They were 5.99 for a box of 18, and well worth it in my opinion. It is nice to eat a taco 'in' the shell instead of off the plate.

I have tried low carb tortillas, and they are sooo good. I keep them in the freezer so I am not tempted.

I was looking at the taco shells, but decided against it right now. It's so great to hear they're good! Did try the tortillas, and am also keeping them in the freezer!

I was quite impressed. She's got good prices, is getting more stock in and will be doing classes like how to make LC bread.
