Default It's so so hard!

Hi everyone, this is my first time trying a low carb diet. I have decided to try this diet due to health reason and also my wedding is coming up in March. My dilema is that I have no idea how to start this whole carb thing and I also don't know what I am getting myself into. I don't even know what type of diet i should follow. If anyone out there can help me i sure would appreciate it.
Thank you from a mom of 6.

Wink :-)

Hi there-

Welcome to this lifestyle....I am sure it was not easy for any of us to begin the diet.(at least I know it was not for me). Pretty much I would just say you need to go into it with an open mind, and read the book. Really, that will tell you everything that you need to know.
Congratulations on the wedding, and Happy losing

I had completely given up on diets. They do not work because when you go back to "regular" eating you regain what you lost and more. I was not unhappy with my size but I was unhappy with having high blood pressure. I decided to "try" Adkins because a really good friend of mine lost 50 pounds in about 6 months and had kept it off for a couple of months. That was in May. My friend is maintaining her loss and I am down 22.5 pounds.

Adkins is not a diet; it is a change in the way I eat. No matter what the scale says, I am NEVER going back to eating HC. There is nothing HC that tasts good enough to go back to eating in a way that keeps excess weight on me.

My loss has been slow but it is such a relief to know that I will not gain it back.

Adkins is not a quick fix, quick weight loss diet; it is a new way of eating that is satisfying and works.

Get informed and then go for it.
