Question

regular bacon isnt any good?

I was under the impression that regular old Oscar Mayer bacon was ok to eat on Atkins. Am I wrong?

Just started 2 days ago so sorry if this is a dumb question I'm really trying hard at this....

You can have regular bacon in moderation, but Dr Atkins discourages it because of the nitrates. They're a carcinogen, if I remember correctly. You also have to keep an eye on the carb count - there's some pretty syrupy, sugary bacon out there.
