Are you constipated? That is usually what causes the cramps for me and I usually try to take in more water, less cheese, more leafy veggies and the such.

Good Luck.

But the stomach cramps or stomach spasams are like major bad. I eat a light breakfast of just a little chopped chicken and very littel mayo and so far so good and having water. Unhappy Stomach

I'm having the same problem the last few days. It's not bowel related, I don't think. It's my stomach. It's just real hard, and crampy, not like I need to run in the bathroom though. Not sure what to try, but it's been making me miserable for two days now. Really just the thought of eating is making it worse!!! Hopefully it goes away like the headaches did...

Default stomach pains

It took my body about a month to get used to not eating carbs. I had terrible stomache aches and head aches for about two weeks. Then all of a sudden on day they were gone. Just stick with it, trust me it's worth it. Iv'e been LCing for about 3 months, and every once in a while I get stomach cramps, I think it is gas pains. Some times if I eat too much cheese these pains come back. So I try to limit my dairy intake. Did you ever have stomache problems before LCing? Take care.

rtjdk2, there is an article under "Low Carb Tips" called 'Intestinal Health' you should take a look at - it may offer some solutions.

It is possible that you have an intolerance to something that was never a problem before - this can happen when you take carbs out of the equation (they tend to mask these things). Have you given any thought to starting a journal? A detailed list of what you've been eating on a daily basis will make it easier for us to offer advice.

Nat

Default Hello

tammy I replied to your other post.

I to have an upset stomach and cannot stop going to the washroom. I have been eating more cheese as it usually binds me up. You should hear my stomach gurgle and talk. Embarrassing.

I am hoping that it goes away soon!!!!!!!!! For if it doesn't I cannot continue this way.

Take care I hope you feel better soon

Chances are, you're getting more fibre into your diet by eating more veggies, etc, and with the cheese on top of that, you're probably building up gas pressure. That happened to me for two days, but then it stopped.
