Thumbs up Didn't make Birthday Mini Goal BUT....

I am on the right track with the exercising (Curves) and my LC WOE!

A few questions:

1. Did any of you who started to seriously exercise notice a temporary (I hope) gain in weight and in measurement? I am about 1/4-1/2" up in all places on my body except waist (down 1 inch) - I only started to seriously exercise on Monday.

2. My appetite has increased - should I change my eating? More protein, more carbs...anyone>???

Any advice/comments would be welcomed!

Hi Yvonne

Are you measuring yourself? I find it can be hard to be sure if I'm measuring at exactly the same spot as before. The only places I'm real sure of are the waist - easy to find the narrowest part and the bust easy to use nipple area as a reference point. other than that - its easy to be off a little on what spot to place the tape around. This might make it look like you have gone up when actually you havent.

Oh yes, I am measuring same spots - - I think its water retention in my muscles since they are achy.

Happy B-day!!!

I think muscles definitely soak up water when you first start REALLY using them. I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel good, I'll bet you're right on track!

Awww ... Thank you for the Bday wishes.

Boss took me out for lunch (with the rest of us in our dept) and I was good - Broiled Scallops Casino style (bacon, red pepper) and instead of the rice pilaf I ordered Broccoli on side Proud of myself for resisting.

Wow...first birthday in a long time I actually am enjoying! THANKS!

Happy Birthday Yvonne!

Since a woman can easily retain 5lbs during TOM, in my math, you are 2 lbs below your goal! Ok.. I am not saying it is your TOM, but y'know... in my book, you achieved it. Way to go!

Hi there! I began Body for Life 31 days ago---I gained a solid 4 pounds and kept it for three weeks. I measured myself yesterday and am up 1/4 to 1/2 inch in arms and calves, but down considerably in my belly (2 1/2 inches!!!). So, I wouldn't sweat it (har har). Just the muscles building and retaining water
