Default Do I Need To Tone Or Burn?

I only lost about 25 lbs so far, and i still have a lot more to go. But i wanted to start some type of exercise. I did pilates for a month. I liked it, BUT i didnt sweat too much and i never got that 'energetic' feeling afterwards.

I bought tae-bo, but it seems too fast & vigorous for me right now. im outta shape big time. maybe it'll work after i loose more weight.

So today i bought walk away the lbs. i dont know how good it is.

so am i suppose to do a 'cardio' type thing where i sweat a lot? or will simple pilates do it? or perhaps a combination of both?

i started out just doing dance then added in yoga neither one really made me sweat... but I could feel a diffrence between when i did them and when i didn't... i have since added weight lifting and pilates to my list of activities
the walk away the pounds tapes i have heard alot of good things about and they would be great to start out with but more important, imo, is just doing somthing you enjoy!

I think a combination of things is best. I joined Curves which gives me a short cardio/toning session 3 times a week and then I do pilates in between to tone up those muscles. I feel great after each session. You can start at your own pace and build up as you get more fit and more energy!

my energy level goes back and forth so much somtimes i gain energy somtimes i don't somtimes i am almost hyper with it lol... but i atrabuite this to working overnights not if i am doing my workouts or not... I do tend to sleep better when i work out though
currently i work out 6 times a week with one day off for rest i do weights 2 days a week, pilates 3 times and dance however many times i can I do dance after my pilates tape when i have time (just cause i actully love to dance its so not like working out at all!)
oh and my weight lifting sessions are about 45 minutes, pilates is about 25 and dances is about 30

even if you can't make it through a whole video or what not keep trying and you will slowly build up to it... if you go back to the pilates its hard but well worth it because it really works your core muscles ... I do the winsor ab sculpting and there are a few of the moves i don't even atempt yet lol and being able to roll all the way up using just my abs? forget that but i go as far as i can!

I'm glad someone else said something about not finishing a tape-I have never got all the way through the 2mile and have never even put the 3mile in the machine. I skip parts so I can get to the arm weights.

If your dvd didn't come with the weights just use a couple of cans from the pantry til you get something.
