Default Can you recommend a fried chicken receipe??

Do you have a tasty LC receipe for crispy fried chicken without using flour. What seasonings do you use to make your chicken tasty? My fried chicken doesn't come out too tasty.

I use the Atkins batter mix, add lots of red and black pepper, "no-salt", and a touch of powdered mustard. Then I mix up some gravy with heavy cream and water and Atkins Thickening powder. As good as I can get to the real thing. One thing though, make sure your oil is deep and hot before adding the chicken, it will try to seperate. If I have any batter left over, I just deep fry it and serve it as crispies with the chicken. Its great!

Hi!

Since we have tons of recipes, and many of them were posted by people who aren't around anymore, you'll probably find quite a few if you click at the top of the page, type in 'fried chicken', and limit the search to the "kitchen" forums.

Good luck!

I put seasoned salt and pepper on mine, dip it in beaten egg and then into the Atkins bake mix and fry. It's good!

I know you said "crispy" but I wanted to tell you that I fry mine with just salt and pepper and it is yummy, though not crispy. Have you tried it without any coating?
