Cool Hello

Thought I'd say hey. Started atkins on monday and feeling good. I tried it before in college but partying and late night pizza runs made it impossible. I then went on a complete beans and rice diet and lost about 40 pounds but that all came back after I quit plus more. So here I am three years out of college and bigger then ever. So I get engaged and have a year to loose some weight. So i want to do atkins. My finance is a vegetarian, so its kind of weird that way, but so far she's been supportive. This site has great information have been lurking for the last two days.

If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't have known about fitday, great site.

John

Hi John!
I was where you are about 30 years ago the first time I did Atkins. Had the same stats too and reached my goal in about 8 months. Wow to be young again! It has been much slower this time. They say that each time you do it it is harder and slower.
So, my advice it to really make this time count and make it work for you. It is really easy and I know you will have success.
Best,
T.

Thanks for the support, I'm very motivated this time and I know I can do it. Plus I went to costco last night and dropped 200 bucks on meats and eggs and salad and salad dressing, so I better stick with it. My freezer is full. And I think this weekend I'm picking up a grill. The foreman just doesn't cut it for taste.

I've already learned alot from reading through this site. And hope to learn more.
