Question what now? its been 2 weeks

Hey Everyone,
Well, I have made it through 2 weeks without any sugar or "carbs". I have been in ketosis for the majority of the time and now I have hit the 2 week mark.
What now???

I do have a couple of things to comment on about this WOE.
I am NOT bloated anymore
I am truely amazed at how little it takes to feel full and how long I stay full for. I would have never believed it until I actually felt it.
I have had to change my way of thinking about food which this WOE does not do...but this WOE helps reinforce the new way of thinking about food.

I am coming more to terms to eat to live and not live to eat. I remember at night after dinner I would usually have a bowl of cereal, then some crackers and cheese, then whatever small snack I could find. I cant believe that I was eating like that.

Also, I havent been having those tired lulls during the day or at night.

Overall, in a nutshell, I really enjoy the way that my body feels.

Now on to the serious stuff...if the scale is true...I lost between 4-7 pounds. I didnt do any measurements until tonight. I have noticed a slight change in the way my clothes fit. Nothing earth shattering but I have noticed that my super tight jeans are just tight...a bit easier to button.

Now, what to do after 2 weeks on this. I have no problem continuing the way I have been eating...I would like to drop about 25-30 pounds still. I am nervous about increasing carbs, nervous about going out of ketosis, I dont want to have to start this all over again.
Anyway....any thoughts?

Also, does anyone use tomato sauce? Like tonight I took some chicken, threw it in a dish with about 1/4 cup tomato sauce and a handfull of mozzerella. Is that too carby??
Thanks for reading

Hi..and congratulations on your success!! Do you have the atkins book? He advises to increase your carb level by 5 per week(until you find that critical level)...my book is not in front of me or I would give you the page number.
As for the sauce, soulds yummy. Watch for added sugars and count the carbs.

Keep up the great control.

Atkins implies that it's your decision whether or not to start adding more carbs. It depends how much you care about slowing down your loss. I stayed on induction for almost a month, mainly because I felt very comfortable there. Of course, if you are looking for more variety, adding five or so grams of carbs feels quite good. I started eating cottage cheese, nuts, and even a bowl of strawberries and cream! And still gradually losing, so I'm satisfied. If you want to melt off a few more pounds quickly, it's safe to stay on induction levels another week or two, but if you want more yummy foods, go ahead and start adding. Whatever works for you.

Congrats on the initial loss. But I agree, the way it makes me feel is ten times better than anything weight related.

Happy low carbing!
