If there is anyone interested in being my buddy please let me know. I used to do slimfast and have found that having a buddy to talk to really helps alot.

I used to do slimfast too, actually for only two weeks because that's as much of it as I could stand being starving all the time. Right after started Atkins and never looked back! My husband tried slimfast also for a few months and has also now joined the atkins program! I bet you will enjoy this plan much more!

you are very right that you STARVE on slimfast and all those carbs!!!! I have very high cholestrol and cant have very many carbs--slimfast is not the way.

Here's a little about myself (I suffer from RSI so apologies if I cut short) -
I have been slightly overweight since puberty. Have been on a few (very strict and silly) diets and usually quickly lost somewhere up to a stone.
I've usually been somewhere around 1 - 2 stone overweight. Usually I have been on low fat diets and am thoroughly enjoying the decadence of full-fat everything! I recently put on a lot of weight after giving up smoking but have now lost most of that - I don't have much to lose but as yet am having no joy - still fairly hopeful after some encouraging comments on another thread! It's a big learning curve for me and I still need to think carefully when shopping. I am learning though, and am doing automatic checks of the labels.
I will say goodbye now, my typing time varies.
