Default Bill Phillips interview

Hi guys,

Here is the transcription of an online interview Bill did w/WebMD. Kinda interesting. I guess he has a couple more books in the works. I love him Eating For Life book!

Thanks for the link Cindy. That was very interesting. I'm going to have to pick up Eating for Life and give it a read.

Thanks, I copied it and will read it before I go to bed tonight.

Does he still do low fat? I guess I will find out when I read it!

www.eatingforlife.com

has Questions and answers about the program and sample menus.

He's against low carb and against high carb. He's definately on the lower fat side than the higher fat side.

I posted a link to his "research" article in our Research/Media Watch forum.

I was disappointed in Eating for Life. He didn't get any more specific about the diet. Call me obsessive-compulsive (if the diagnosis fits, wear it!), but I prefer some recommendations of grams of protein, carbs and fat. A handful of this and an eyeballed portion of that causes my weight to creep back on. I can do this in a pinch since everyone looks at me funny when I bring measuring cups to a restaurant, but I need to measure my portions consistantly or they slowly get bigger and bigger. I was very disappointed that there are no nutritional stats for the recipes. Also the recipes looked like nothing special to me. Low-fat recipes are a dime a dozen, I just ignore the pasta or rice-based meals.

I read in another forum that Bill Phillips was going to be on The Wayne Brady show today talking about his book, "Eating For Life."

Though, it might have been yesterday. Either way they will probably post a transcript after the show.
