Hi AtshushiOnita,
Take spinach for example...
- Spinach sauteed with garlic and olive oil
- Spinach sauteed with pesto
- Spinach sauteed with mushrooms
- cold, cooked spinach with lemon and olive oil
- spinach sauteed in browned butter with capers
- sauteed spinach with a slice of diced tomato and crisp crumbled bacon
- sauteed spinach with a touch of cream and Parmesan cheese
You could do the same thing with cauliflower, broccoli or green beans.
You never need to be bored on this WOE. You just have to be willing to cook and try different things.
Think of "whole meal salads" rather than thinking of a meal as components. For example, cook your salmon and spread pesto over it. Fry some chopped bacon until crisp. Saute mushrooms in the fat and then toss in some spinach. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice or vinegar. Serve the salmon on top. Delicious!
Some people will stall from the citric acid in diet drinks and your body will burn alcohol before it burns fat, so it is probably better to avoid it. However, all people will react differently.
