Question Kraft cheese cubes??

Does anyone eat these Kraft cheese cubes? I am a little confused about the labeling though because it says a serving is 8 cubes is 32 grams which is just slightly above an ounce. Each cube is almost the size of 1/2 an ounce of regular cheese though if I am right (an ounce of cheese is roughly the size of a pair of dice I thought.) Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew about this I love them and it says zero carbs for 8 cubes of this and it is what I always use in my salads and count it as 1 carb because I am sure it has just under 1 and not really zero. Why would the serving size be this way?? I was thinking maybe it is not all cheese but I already threw the package away. Even if it is not natural cheese would this be ok for induction with less than 1 carb per serving??

You'd have a better idea about it if you had saved the package and read the ingredients. Below is quoted from the Atkins site at http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html: Read the last line in BOLD print:

Quote:
OTHER FOODS THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE DURING INDUCTION

Cheese
You can consume three to four ounces daily of the following full-fat, firm, soft and semisoft aged cheeses*, including:

cheddar
cow, sheep and goat cheese
cream cheese
Gouda
mozzarella
Roquefort and other blue cheeses
Swiss

*All cheeses have some carbohydrate content. The quantity you eat should be governed by that knowledge. The rule of thumb is to count 1 ounce of cheese as equivalent to 1 gram of carbohydrate. Note that cottage cheese, farmer’s cheese and other fresh cheeses are not permitted during Induction. No "diet" cheese, cheese spreads or whey cheeses are permitted. Individuals with known yeast symptoms, dairy allergy or cheese intolerance must avoid cheese. Imitation cheese products are not allowed, except for soy or rice cheese—but check the carbohydrate content.

Amie, are you talking about the colby/montery jack cheese squares? They should be OK, and I think the serving size is about right.

Those are the ones hornbrau....I was contemplating digging in the trash but I think I will just wait until the next time I go shopping. I think I just like them since you get to eat 8 cubes instead of just one. Cheese is just so good and with those I can stay at 1 or 2 oz a day in my salads.

There is a great link on nutritional labels that you may want to check out.

Your best bet is to weigh it and if its just monterey and colby jack it should be fine.

Try looking on their website for ingredients or next time you buy it look
