hi, a stick of butter I believe is 1/4 of the pound. Usually it appears cut horizontally. I saw butter (way more$) cut into sticks and this was what it looked like.
hope that helps

Right, a stick = 1/4 pound of butter.
To measure it, cut the pound of butter lengthwise, then cut eat slab again lengthwise. Or just cut a pound of butter into 4 equal pieces & use one.
