Arrow Aspartame?

Can someone please give me the low down on why Aspartame is bad if you are low-carbing? I know I read stuff here and there about .. this or that but I never can really understand it.

I eat some SF Jello (pre made stuff) and some generic diet sodas that have it .. and It could explain my stall but .. why does it cause stalls?

TIA!!!

Aspartame can cause blood sugar spikes in some people which causes the stall.

Plus, it contains Methanol which in many people can cause Migraines and other problems. I get headaches from even 1-20 oz. Diet Pepsi.

I like Eclipse myself--made with sugar alcohols.

A person can actually gain weight on Aspartame. I know it's the dumbest thing. I wish they'd just get rid of it all together, but it's one of Monsanto's babies! And just don't get me started on Monsanto!

Thanks everybody for the replies This really does make sense .. I have been having a stall for A LONG TIME and fluctuating up and down. . also but I can never break 165. I guess I'm heading down now because .. I'm giving up on that damn Aspartame!! I'm also insulin resistant so .. sugar is EXTRA evil for me.

I found some sodas yesterday after looking at EVERY soda can in the store yesterday .. that is made with splenda! .. it's Diet Rite! They taste pretty good .. we'll see how it goes!
