Default I need a Low Carb B-day Cake

My Birthday is coming up on the 16th of February and I need a low carb cheesecake or some kind of cake for our office celebration. We have a ritual that everyone gets a cake to celebrate their birthday. This year since I am on this WOE my boss has said she will buy it if I find a low carb cake. In a way I think it's unfair that she put it on me since it's my birthday but she doesn't kow where to get it plus she didn't think I would still be doing low carb by my birthday. shame on her. But I live in the Northern Chicago Suburbs and I need help finding a low carb cake..that tastes good. Can anyone help. I've gona online and the cakes I've seen are the diabetic ones which I'm not sure are low carb and furthermore their like $40-60 bucks for a small cake.
Please help.

I would check with the local bakeries. Also, Ruby Tuesdays makes lowcarb cheesecake; you may be able to buy a whole one there.

This place is local to me... their cheesecakes are kinda pricy but really good and low carb.

The Ruby Tuesday Cheesecake is great. There are also a ton of recipes in the recipe section. I plan on making a Flourless chocolate cake for Valentines day.

Good Luck and happy birthday!

Here's a link for purchasing the same low carb cheesecake that is sold by Ruby Tuesday:

Carb Conscious Cheesecake, Atkins Elegant Deserts

I've never purchased it online, but I've had it at Ruby Tuesday and it is very, very good.

BTW, it's just a coincidence that this bakery is named "Atkins" Elegant Deserts. They aren't associated with Atkins Nutritionals.

Definitley check on the recipie site here. There are lots to choose from. You have to make them yourself but there are several wonderful choices. I have made quite a few and they were delicious.

Also, if you would like to make your own cheesecake there are some good recipes under the recipe site on this forum. I have tried the cheesecake recipe that the member, whose username is "Aries", posted and it is quite yummy. I made it for the company's Xmas party last year ( 2003 ) and it was a hit.

I made an LC cheesecake for my b-day. I made it a tad higher carb by adding unsweetened carob chips, but I think it would of tasted even better without them.

Click on my gallery link below the post to see a picture of the cake and a link to the recipe

I made my brother a low carb chocolate cake for his birthday. I took 2 packs of Atkins chocolate chip muffin/bread mix, added 1 cup of spenda and 2 tbl spoons of vanilla exstract (to make it sweeter) . Baked 2 cakes, stacked them with vanilla cream cheese icing between and on top. I was really good and had about 5 carbs per slice!

I have notice recently, the food store at this end (Krogers) is not selling sugar free cakes in the bakery. Came in at 6 carbs a slice, not to bad. True, I am sure they used white flour to make it, but for a birthday I don't think I would mind.
