According to her cookbook, 500 Low Carb Recipes her Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies are about 3 grams of carbs each with a trace of fiber and 5 grams of protein. She doesn't mention the calorie count.

A tbs. of Grandma's unsulfured molasses is 15 carbs. I bought that because I couldn't find black strap molasses (maybe this is black strap molasses). Hope this helps.

Blackstrap molasses is 11 carbs per Tbsp.

It's strong stuff and a little goes a looooooooong way.

Hi Kathy,

I'm afraid you'll have to buy Dana Carpender's recipe book, "500 Low Carb Recipes."

Posting the recipe here would be in breach of copyright, possibly leaving this wonderful site open to legal action.

And if you buy the book, you'll have access to another 499 recipes.

I just did a little Googling to see if she'd ever posted the recipe in "Hold the Toast" - her ezine, but couldn't find it.

But I did find a recipe for Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownies that might interest you. Here: http://www.holdthetoast.com/archive/021120.html

Cheers.

Rosebud
