Default Coughdrops...

As I sit here and feel a cold coming on , I'm just wondering what the consensus is on cough drops? Are sugar-free cough drops sufficient, or are they still no good?

Thanks!

Kori-99, I've tried some of the sugar free cough drops and while they were effective for stopping the tickle in my throat, they were also a great laxative for me. Sugar alcohols and I absolutely DO NOT get along.

Good luck.

They seem to work fine for me. I got some at the local grocery store. They were from Switzerland and tasted OK, and I had no side effects. Sorry I forgot the nake but they were in a yellow bag.

Hall's makes a sugar free lozenger and NICE has a lemon and cherry. You can always look in the diabetic section of the store, but check the package just to be sure someone hasn't put one there by mistake.
