Default Question about fat vs protein percentage

Hello everyone,

I'm a new Atkins eater...I'm getting confused on the eat as much as you want...eat in moderation...eat a higher percentage of fat than protein...but keep under 20 grams of carbs. Can anyone tell me what they have done that has helped them lose weight? what types of food and how often? I'm eating eggs every monrning (I've had abouut enough), usually leftovers from the nigh before's dinner and dinners consist of chicken beef fish or pork cooked in the broler or frying pan. I'm eating about 1300 cals per day (from FITDAY.com) I'm also exercising daily (at least 30 mins). I was losing but this week I gained 5 lbs. I also haven't been "going" as often...I think I might be becoming a camel for some reason. Any tips? What do you think abotu those sugar free chocolates or the ATT last candy bars by carbolite? THANKS!

The first thing I notice is you calorie intake is low for your current weight. You should be eating 10 to 12 times your current weight in calories. And of those calories 60 to 70% should come from fat. Fitday has helped me a lot keeping track of this. I find a lot of times I have to bump up my fat intake for the day. BUT it did get the scale moving again!

Who would have thought that you have to have fat to lose fat?!?
The whole idea is that if you don't eat enough you body might hold back thinking your are starving yourself and getting ready.

The chocolates stall some people, not me , nut seem to do that. So you have to test and see.

There are many reasons the scale fluctuates. Time of day, time of month, lots of salty foods, etc...

Like the person before me stated you really aren't eating enough to fuel your body. You are really only supposed to count carbs and then eat to satisfaction. Try that for a while.

FYI - regarding the LC candies and bars . For some they stall weightloss ALSO for some they can cause cravings. My suggestion is to avoid these processed foods when you can and if you enjoy, enjoy sparingly unless you have no issues losing.
