Question new to this site

Hi again, I'm not sure if this is where I post this since I introduced myself yesterday. Anyway, I've been doing Atkins (this time) since January 31, 2003. I've only lost about 5 lbs. I haven't weighed today (I had a round with peanut butter yesterday - natural, no sugar tho) so last night I threw the rest of the jar in the garbage! It seems that I'll be going along just fine, watching my carbs (I was on vacation last week to see my mom but did very very well) then its like I don't know what comes over me - I lose control or just get depressed and blow it. Although when I do blow it I am good about my choices. Just too much! Does anyone else set themselves up for failure like this?n I'm going to start back with fitday today. Keeping track might help. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.

Doll, 5 lbs is great! It's 5 lbs less and that's what's important.

You'll find that with less (relatively speaking) to lose it will be slower for you, however if you look at the percentage of weight lost you're doing great! It's all relative. Keep that in mind.

Have you considered starting up a journal here? It's a great way to keep track of menus, to make friends and to get some input on what you're eating.

Cheers,
Nat

Default thanks for the encouragement Natrushka

I guess you're right, I just have to keep reminding myself that I have lost 5 lbs. Anyway, your idea of a journal sounds good. I'm still trying to find my way around this site tho. I have started keeping a food journal at fitday again. so I guess I'll go check it out. Thanks again!

Doll, you can start your journal in the C-D section of the My Journal / Bootcamp section of the forum (off the main forum.lowcarber.org page) This is a link to the announcement on "how to start your journal " (Note, it's after the announcement on the war) - this thread is in your C-D section of the forum - just hit one level up from the post and start a new thread - call it whatever you want your journal to be. Whenever you want to add new entries just hit "reply".

Cheers & happy journaling
Nat
