Default ketosis symptom ?

This is kinda embarassing , but I'm gonna ask anyway . I've noticed I have the ketosis breath , deadly in the morning but lots of water seems to make it not so bad . I've also noticed that my underarm deodorant/antipersperant is not as effective as it used to be against odor is this also a ketosis symptom or is from being more active, perhaps both ? I've noticed it on days I don't exercise too.
If this is a ketosis symptom what is the best deodorant/antipersperant for it ? Right now I'm being cheap and using suave which worked great before low carbing.

Hey Lucid

Nice to know that someone else is sweating out those ketones! I've noticed a change in my - ahem - SCENT as well. At least I've assumed that it's the ketones. I know they are excreted through a variety of different ways. I've never had bad breath, and yet I can taste them on my tongue.

Yep, you got it!

You've also got the best answer - drink more water. The only way to really improve the breath, yucky taste in the mouth etc, is to dilute those ketones with lots and lots of water.

Meanwhile, I can't say which deodorant works best - I guess that's a matter for your budget and whichever works best for you.

Remember that as you proceed with OWL the ketosis and its effects will lessen.

Happy low carbing!

Rosebud
