Hi All,

I am wondering if anyone else has developed hemorroid like symptoms from this WOE. I have to say my bowel movements have not been as soft as they use to be and I am experiencing a pressure like feeling on my bum(sorry to be so graphic). I just want this feeling to go away and not sure if I should stop this WOE. All the hemorroid sites say to ease the pain I need to add more fiber to my diet....help!!! THanks

More fiber is exactly what you need. I think many people here add psyllum (spelling?) husks to their diet. You can get them at a local health store I believe.

Buy some psyllium husks - you can buy it loose and add to a shake and you can buy it in capsule form - that will help you with the problem.

I don't have constant hemmorhoids, but I do have occasional outbreaks. Have had them for about 10 years now - ages 22-32. It's genetic, my dad has an operation whe he was 30, and my older brother claims to have them like I do, in moderation.

Last time I did Atkins ( over a year ago), one of the reasons I quit was due to a bad outbreak and constipation.

Anyhow, this time around on days 2-4 same thing. No constipation, but I was having an outbreak again. I was a bit dismayed. Ever since I started doing the evening psyllium husks before dinner, the outbreak subsided and I feel like my jolly old self again.

So I agree 100%.

If you are a borderline hemmorhoid sufferer, this diet can tear you up if you don't get enough fiber.
