Default Diet Rite Soda and # of carbs

When you drink a Diet Rite soda, should I count the carbs in it as 0 or 1 per can? I know I have to count packets of Splenda as 1 carb, but I wasn't sure about diet soda.

The diet soda is made with liquid splenda. The carbs in the packets come from the filler, not the sucralose. You might err on the safe side by counting each one as .5 carb.

How many of the things are you planning to drink a day?

Well, not necessarily a lot, but I was thinking that there was probably more than 1 or 2 packets of splenda in each can, which got me to thinking about why we have to count carbs in splenda packets, but not in diet rite soda.

I really enjoy drinking ice tea, but again, if I put some lemon and splenda in it, wouldn't the carbs be rather high, even though the calorie count is minimal.

Since I'm on induction, I'm still on the 20 carbs/day and they sure seem to add up fast. I have been drinking mostly water, but it would sure be nice to add some variety to what I drink each day without using up my carb allotment.
