I think so. I checked my book and they aren't exactly banned, though he does say to go a bit easy on convenience foods.

'Dying' to try it? Don't get your hopes up. I take the shake mix and food bars backpacking because when you're stuck out in the woods and are starving with no store in sight then they're pretty tasty, but under normal circumstances I wouldn't touch them.

Yup, with only 2 or so carbs (all from Splenda and stuff like that) shakes are okay for induction. Just be careful not to wake up sweets cravings. Splenda is limited to three packets a day on induction, so if you use it in other things (coffee, tea) I would limit it on a day when you have a shake.

Shakes are at least an easy way to get in some good vitamins and minerals.
