I am certainly no expert on this, but I know that even when I was doing WW, lots of people really believed in shocking the system. Of course, we were following the points system, and they would eat low points one day followed by a high point day and repeat that throughout the week. I would guess that doing the same thing with the number of carbs you are eating would help. Perhaps have an induction type day, followed by a day where you eat your max allowed. Repeat this a few times and see how it works.
The other thing that often helps with any diet when you stall is changing the foods that you are eating. If you always eat eggs for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a grilled protein for dinner, try mixing it up. Try eating some carbs at breakfast. Maybe eat celery with cream cheese, or a slice of cheese and some berries.
I have also been communicating with a woman who lost 85 lbs in six months doing this and she gave me some tips. Ellen, if you are on here, thanks for the tips! Here they are:
-Keep carbs as even throughout the day as you can. Even if it means having broccoli with your eggs for breakfast
-Have at least 5 meals (referring to snacks as meals) six would even be better and try to make snacks bigger and meals smaller so you don't notice the difference too much between the two. The body can only handle so many calories at one time without storing some as fat.
-Never eat a carb food alone. Always eat protein and/or fat with it to slow down its absorption and not cause an insulin spike.
-Make sure you get plenty of protein. Body needs protein for repair but if you read protein power you know this.
So this has gotten very long, but I sure hope it helps!
