Default whats the deal

I was on induction for 2 weeks, I started at 194. I weighed myself on day 12 and i was down to 180. A few days later, I was back up to 194.5. Whats the deal? Is this normal?

Gained 14 lbs in a few days? Can't be done! Are you sure your scale isn't broken? Try another one. Go to a neighbor's house. What have you been eating in those last few days? I don't even think you can retain that much water.

There's got to be a better answer than you gained that all back!

No, there's no possible way to gain that much "poundage" in a few days...is it a hormonal thing, maybe TOM?

My cycle will do that to me every time...sometimes a variation of 5 pounds in a single day. After a good week of being consistent and drinking that water, it all evens out.

How do you feel otherwise? The only reason I could fathom this much weight gain so quickly is if there's a (possibly serious) health reason, which most definitely should be checked by a health professional. My mother-in-law has congestive heart failure, and has had a couple of pretty scary episodes with rapidly retained fluid.

Tami

P.S. Edit--On second thought, just realized that's an awful large amount to have lost in two weeks, and very unusual. I'd guess it's the scales!

Thanks for the reply. I havent been eating much differently from induction. The only thing I've noticed is that I dont feel like eating, but I eat anyway. Another weired thing I've noticed is that I have been drinking a gallon of water everyday without having to go to the bathroom that much. Thats about it. Or maybe my scale is totally messed up and I didnt loose anything at all. If thats the case, then I actually gained half a pound. I guess Ill use a neighbors scale...

That water has to go somewhere! If you're not voiding, then you must be retaining. I really suggest to take a trip to the doc (and, hey, at least the scales are accurate!)

Good luck,

Tami

Yep...ditto!

I stop at the bathroom 15 times a day and 3 times during the night!!

Get to the doc and make sure you're okay.
