Default HELP me overcome my cravings!

I've been craving carbs! Yesterday, my son made some toast and it smelled like the best thing since...well...white bread! Anyway, I have had some mean carb cravings the last couple of days...any suggestions to overcome them?

This happens to me too. If you are working out a lot, or even if your carbs are really low, maybe you can fit a few more carbs into your plan? Are you on induction?
There is a withdrawal effect that must be confronted. It usually lasts a few days. I've gotten through it successfully. Good luck.

Default you might not like my answer, but...

eat more meat!!!

I had the same problem. But seriously, when I had serious carb cravings, I just ate more meat, and took a nap, and made sure I was getting lots of sleep. Then after the adjustment period, I was fine. The things that really helped were cooking up a batch of hard boiled eggs and bacon, and just downing that and lots of meat, with salads at each. Took about 5 days or a week or so, but then I was fine.

So...

eat meat

sleep (cures carb cravings)

water

salads

rest, rinse, repeat! Oh, and lift weights a couple of times a week. You're might be going through adjustment, and this is what has worked for me and many others I know, but we are all individuals, so you have to see what works for you. But my suggestions are something you might consider trying if other things don't work.

There are some paleo people I know who do better and feel better with leaner meats, and lots of fruit and veggies. That's another option (more Paleo Diet style per Cordain) and there's people who do better with a higher meat/fat intake like me (ala Neanderthin).

So.... as Natrushka would say... it's your body, and your science experiement! Thanks Nat!

I've added a 6th day to my workout schedule to help curb appetite. I'm thankfully past induction. I have adjusted my carbs so I have an intake of about 50 grams throughout the day.
