Default Scale

I have a piece of junk Dollar General scale that I want to replace. Does anyone have any input on a good choice-digital vs. non digital?? I can't spend over $30 on one because we only have one income now!! It that unrealistic to expect to get a decent scale for that price?? I haven't even looked at them at Wal-MArt so I have no clue.... Thanks!

Hello amytx.

I don't think digital or non digital matters... but since you can't spend over 30 dollars, why don't you buy a measuring tape? You can just measure yourself and see if you have lost any inches. Just a thought...

Yes SooCee I definitely have that on my Wal-Mart list! The tape is usually "nicer " to me than any scale is Thanks! Amy

Default just bought a scale

Hi Amytx,
I just bought a scale three weeks ago, and it was $40-- a Taylor "Precision Tech Lithium Electronic" it's digital and tells you your weight down to the half pound, which is nice. This is $10 over your budget BUT I distinctly remember that there were three Taylor scales and I got the middle one. I think the cheaper one was 25. It may not have been digital, but I honestly don't think there's a difference in accuracy. At any rate, Taylor is a pretty good brand. I like mine, haven't had any problems and the readout is pretty big.

My advice: Don't spend too much, you're going to despise the thing anyhow!!!

Best of luck to you! I definitely agree--stick to the measuring tape and don't get discouraged when your weight goes up 3 lbs overnight---it's not 3 lbs of fat, it's just water and new muscle and, you know, your cells. So don't freak out like I do every morning!!

Ciao!
Kypraia
