Cool Push Ups

For the past 5 years I have been doing pushups and nothing but pushups.

I think I overdeveloped my triceps
Developed noticeable pecs
And built decent delts.

I stayed in the 10-15 range all this time doing all what it takes, religously sticking to proper growth methods.
I look back with a smile with what I have done.
However after getting dumbbells 2 months ago, I am seeing better results, all over. I wish I had been using them before.

My question is, are dumbbells and only dumbbells enough to build and maintain muscles?(no barbells nor press machines etc...)

Thank You

My thoughts? Yes. As long as you can keep increasing the weight to such that you work the muscle. I tend to use dumb bells (and a barbell) exclusively - everything I can do with a barbell I can do with dumb bells. I actually perfer them to machines - they force me to pay attention more, I tend to be more focussed on each exercise.

If you're looking for a good directory of exercises you can do (brokendown by equipment you can use) check out this site:

You're welcome, Loony. I use that place often, specially when it's time to switch exercises.
