Default The Insulin Control Diet

Hi -I have been away from here for ages because I wasn't losing weight. I was doing Atkins but not losing. Then giving up and starting again but generally losing then gaining back the same weight again. I tried a couple of other plans but have finally found one that works for me. That is Calvin Ezrin's from the book "Your fat Can Make You Thin".

The diet is 30 grams of carbs a day and reduced calories. I am losing really well on it and do not feel hungry unlike low calorie/ low fat diets. I know that calorie reduction can cause a problem and don't want to end up lowering my metabolism.

But- I wasn't getting anywhere before. It might be my age or all the previous diets but for me I needed to reduce calories to make any progress. Worth a try if Atkins is not working for anyone.

Liz

Welcome back!

I'm glad you found something that is working for you - and I hope it keeps on working.

Must say, I'm not too wild on the use of any prescription drugs - but sometimes that is what it takes to push ahead. I hope your body shifts gears enough to let you forego that eventually. I especially hope you don't find it necessary to stay on the drug even after you make your final goal weight.

Keep sluggin' away.

I am not taking the drug. I am just following the diet. I would take it if I needed to though.
