Cool coffee question

I don't understand about coffee and carbs. How can something with 0 calories have 7 carbs? I only drink decaf but I like 3 cups a day and that would be 21 carbs??? This does not make sense to me!

I'm not sure where you got 7 carbs from. If you check Fitday or the carb counter on the orange bar, you'll get around 1 carb per 8 oz. cup of decaff made from ground coffee (.948, actually). And coffee does has calories--4.74 to be precise, as well as .237 g of protein and .0005 g of fat.

Of course, if you drink your coffee with cream and sweetener, you add at least a couple more.

Hi, I'm looking at decaf espresso, a 12 ounce cup and its 5 carbs, not 7 - my mistake.

It also helps to use cream rather than milk to keep the carbs down. But yes you definitely have to count the carbs

I love my coffee too - I use it as a bit of a treat now though and have cut back to only 1 or two a day.

Question move the decimel?

Alirider;

Are you sure it doesn't read .5 as in 1/2 a carb?
