Default Quick Question

Splenda doesn't come over here in packets - just the granulated stuff. Could someone please tell me how many grams or ounces of splenda are in each packet please? Wanna make dinner using a forum recipe

One little packet is equivalent in sweetness to 2 teaspoons of the granulated, or 2 tablets.

I only ever use the tablets these days (I believe you can get Splenda tablets in the UK), in combination with xylitol. Combining sweeteners doubles the sweetness - ie, you only need half as much sweetener over all, and also dramatically (IMHO) improves the taste.

Iin answer to your question about grams of granulated splenda equaling 1 packet the answer is 1 g of granulated splenda equals the sweetness of one packet of splenda.

...and check out the FAQ Frequently Asked Questions, "stuck" to the top of this Kitchen Talk forum, there's a boatload of useful bits, including Splenda conversions, in there. Also great stuff in the UK forum!

Enjoy.
