Exclamation *raising hand* I have a newbie question

Is it norman for some of us to lose inches before the wt comes off? I would asume if you lose inches the weight will come off sooner or later. I hate that I started this diet without a scale, but I just didn't think about it. So now i've taken my fave pair of pants out, that haven't fit for a few months and try them on once in a while.
sigh. Hugs, you guys inspire me!

Kelly, it is normal. I haven't lost more than a pound in the past 2 weeks, but I have lost inches based on the fit of my clothes. I will be taking my measurements on Monday, to confirm. But I have no doubt about it. It's funny. Other diets I would have given up the diet if I didn't lose weight in that much time. But, I've been reassured by many posts on this site not to focus on the scale, that the fat is coming off despite the numbers.
Good luck with your dieting. I noticed our start and goal weights are very similar. Please keep me posted as to how you're doing? Are you going to write a journal? I just started one a few days ago. It really helps to keep you honest. I didn't even realize I was being "dishonest"! But when I don't write down what I eat, I kind of round off and estimate numbers.... not very well.

Its very normal, Kelley. In fact it can't happen anyother way It's one or the other, but not both together. IMHO losing the inches is much more fun - no one is going to know what I weigh but they sure as heck are going to see my butt as I walk down the street.

I've not had much time to figure this place out. Although, it is one of the coolest sites I've ever seen. I will start a journal....as soon as i figure it out...laffing. I really enjoy reading everyone's posts. Thank you for your support. Hugs
