Question WAKING AND CRAVING? Anyone noticed?

Hello,
Has anyone noticed this? Whenever I take a nap, when I first wake up, I have HUGE! and I mean HUGE! carb cravings. I've noticed this all my life and usually have to get something right away or very cranky. (It's not so bad in the morning, but after other naps.)

It still occurs on Atkins. (I'm assuming there's an explanation for this as I read somewhere that blood sugar drops when we sleep -
I guess that's why my skinny husband always has ice cream when he wakes in the middle of the night.

Anyway, this HUGe craving is very tricky indeed for me. Because it has to be satisfied immediately. And if the food's not ready, I can go right off the deep end, and it's physical. The rest of the day, when in Ketosis fine, appetite suppressed, carb cravings under control. WHY then should the cravings still remain after these naps?

If anyone has noticed this, let me know what you know.

Thanks,
RUBY

Default Stay Strong!

I don't have that problem - I am more a 5-6pm Carb Craver, but I can see how it happening first thing in the morning would be hard.

All I say is, Stay Strong!

/hugs

It used to happen to me all the time too, but now it doesn't happen anymore. I think it takes a while for your body to adjust.
