Angry major stall

i have low carb for a year now, i have lost 60 lbs, the problem is i have really stalled, , it has lasted for the last month, i am not sure what the problem is, the only thing i can think of is i am prbably eating too much hard cheese, (love it)
i have just started walking every day, doing about 2 miles, ( feels good)
i feel like my body is fighting me.
any suggestions anyone, they would be greatly appreciated

Hi bonnie - my longest stall lasted 5 months - that's the bad news.

The good news is that all stalls come to an end.

You are doing the right thing by *changing* things - the body gets into a rut (much like the mind!) - by tossing a little exercise its way or changing the diet a little can be enough to tweak it into resuming weight loss.

Do you count calories? At one point in a stall, I examined calories and discovered I was eating less than 1000 a day - not enough to lose on - just a thought.

Hang in there, regardless. In the low carb world - only BAD things come to an end

There are a couple of things that could be causing your stall.
First of all is that you have already lost a lot of weight and weight loss slows as you get closer and closer to goal.
The second thing is that you have now added some exercise. You may have lost a pound of fat but gained a pound of muscle. I would suggest looking at your measurements. Muscle takes up less room and even if the scales haven't changed, you could be getting smaller.
As LC suggested, you may not be eating enough calories. The general rule is 10-12 calories for each pound that you currnetly weigh.
You could always try re-inducting for a week or so. Limit your cheese intake to 4 ounces or less per day if you try this.
The best part about stalls is that they eventually do end. The worst part is waiting for them to end. Have faith.

Default hi Bonnie

Wow U are really doing well. I will mention a few things. Make sure to drink lots and lots of water. One thing I did when my weight slowed down is for 2 days I would eat a higher amount of carbs...not sugar and such but say a few more veggies and an apple. Then I would cut right back to 20 carbs a day and when I weighed myself a few days later it would break the stall. Also just because the scale isnt moving doesnt mean U arent losing inches. Especailly if U are exercising now. The weight may not come off for awhile because U are building muscle but that in the end is far more important.
