Well, according to the Le Carb website it has 6g carbs per half cup (4 servings per container) and 9g of fat of which 4g is saturated.

Looks OK to me. I'd try it if it were available here!

If you are following SBD it looks as if this would be in the very limited or avoid category. I would say avoid. Why? Second ingredient is milk fat, and the almonds have hydrogenated soybean oil (listed as third ingredient) which is not a good thing. With 4 grams of saturated fat, I would rule this out if you are following SBD.

4 grams is almost nothing. There are 30g in one ounce.

Perhaps 4 grams seems almost nothing. However, in SBD, the object is to remove as much saturated fat from one's diet as possible. I understand this isn't the case in most other LC diets, but it is within the guidelines of SBD. If Judynyc were following Atkins then she may very well indulge. It's why I qualified my statement by stating if she were following SBD. There is a difference in the way the two plans look at saturated fats.

I am aware of this...and out of respect for fellow low carbers I don't really want to get into an argument about who is right and who is wrong. I will repeat however that 4 g is very little by weight.

If you want to cut all saturated fats you'd practically have to become a vegan.

P.S. If I weren't aware of the differences in opinions on saturated fats I wouldn't have included the data in my posting.

Hi guys!!
Being that I am on SBD and am happily losing weight at an astonishing rate, I am going to allow myself this frozen treat once in a while because it is really good.
However, on a daily basis, I have been having fudgesicle s/f and the ricotta creme dessert as it is also very good!!

Thanks to both of you for your insight and info. I am always learning stuff here!!

Not all south beachers agree with cutting saturated fats. Hydroginated though almost all plans agree are unhealthy.

I love the homade vanilla LeCarb. The walmart here stopped carrying it though and it is definitly better then other brands of LC ice creams that are loaded with sugar alcohols.
