Default OMG! I am so hungry

It is almost my TOM and I am ravenous! I almost gave in and went and got soft serve ice cream but I stopped myself and settled for two big macs, no bun and I am still hungry I am drinking water, I ate veggies, I hate this! I could eat an entire pig right now or even a cow!
Is this normal on Atkins? I was always hungry like this before but I thought it would go away now
Should I eat until I feel okay?

Look at all I ate today!

I just started also and from what I get dont let yourself get hungry then your in trouble.Find the lowest carb foods u can and eat some.Maybe make a low carb desert from the recipie section here(its saved me a few times already) if your done with induction and just stick with it,it will pass.

I went back into induction and have to stay there for awhile. I wasn't really doing anything before. I'm craving greasy meat...it is so weird! I am also craving seafood. I don't know why I even thought of ice cream earlier but now that has went away and the meat and seafood craving is back. I feel stuffed but am still hungry, I don't get it

Since there is NO restriction on protein foods, why not eat some more when you are hungry? I sometimes get the frozen shrimp or scallops from the grocery and cook up some when the hunger hits. There is no need to go hungry on Atkins at anytime.

Sometimes I have found that big hunger one day means a loss the next day. Hope it's true for you too.

I ate a whole bunch of meat today. I think I might be okay until tomorrow. I got freaked out because Fitday said I ate more than I burned today I am just over 20 carbs.

Sound like you need to eat more fat with your protein. I know that when I stay away from fat, the cravings and hungries are always around the corner.

You can do this!!!

I ate 68% fat today. Maybe it is just from my TOM coming and it is messing up my metabolism or something?

I seem to be starving just before my TOM too. I made some sugar cookies from the dessert section and they satisfied my sweet tooth last night and kept me in my carb range. I am usually this way for 3-4 days before and the first 2-3 days during, then I am back to normal.

when you're on induction and feel like eating a pig or cow then EAT a pig or cow.

don't worry about calories when you first start out...concentrate on eating low carb and getting rid of carb cravings. they pass and so does the hunger.

TOM does that to me as well. I eat like theres no tommorrow. But I have found that now I crave fats, as much or more than I crave sweets. Stick with acceptable foods and eat if you are hungry. Tom is a ravenous beast!

Thanks, everyone. I guess I really didn't mess up that bad. It could have been a lot worse.

A crisp bed of salad greens allways helps me. Somtimes I put ground beef on it with some shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Really helps cause then Im so full munchies are the furthest from my mind.
