Default salt?

i dont remember ever reading anything in dr atkins book about salt (or the sbd or pp or ff for that matter) and since dr atkins encourages the consumption of salty foods: bacon, red meats, etc, i wonder why he never addressed the concern of too much salt?? (unless i was 1/2 asleep when i read it and forgot???) nor did he every really say why u shouldnt eat nuts on induction- other than the reflex of eating more than u should.... but if you're like me and take your big ol bag of pistachios or almonds or macadamias or whatever and break em down into serving size ziplocks when u take em out of the grocery bag before they even hit the cupboard, this isnt a problem. but i never even considered the fact of too much salt. till yesturday i looked at my fitday reports and realized i have been consuming almost 2x what i should be. but even today, when i conciously made low sodium choices, i'm still almost at the recommended max before dinner is even considered. *sigh* i dunno what to do. obviously, my daily dose of nuts is now out but what else can i do? almost everything i eat is fresh- sodium seems unavoidable. is any1 else concerned about this or doesnt it matter or what? thanks for reading and for any advice, comments, etc u can give me

Nuts on Induction are not allowed. Too much sodium will cause you to retain water.
Nuts are very high in calories also. 1/4 cup of walnut = 200 calories.

Although I agree that bacon is salty, other fresh meats are not.
