Talking TDC Forum = New Sugar Substitute for Me

Today was a rough day with cravings for me, and my arch nemesis is sugar (usually in the form of some sort of chocolate). I was so very close to throwing in the towel, heading out to a very carb filled dinner, followed by dessert when I thought..... let me just take a break, and read the forums to see if it helps. AND IT DID!!!! So a BIG THANK YOU to everyone - the advice, wisdom, and inspiration are exactly what I needed instead of chocolate and that feels GOOD! It is a big step for me, and as I realize that it will be a daily struggle, it helps to have a place to come on those days when it is more of a struggle than usual. Thank you again and keep those posts coming!!

In deepest gratitude,
~ Lori

Sometimes the cravings hit harder than others. When you feel like you HAVE to have something sweet, immediately stuff some protein in your mouth. chew and swallow. Repeat.

You'll be amazed how the sweet cravings disappear and you get past them.

Good for you for doing something else instead of giving in.

I come here and read the boards when I get cravings. It has helped me many nights. I stuff down protein and fat to help. Marty
