Default Honey - Not So Sweet

I've heard honey being mentioned a few times in reference to good carb up foods.

I did some research and found that honey is usually in the realm of 40% fructose/30% glucose. I'm pretty sure it has more fructose than table sugar.

40% fructose, can't be good, right?

Is there such a thing as a natural source for pure glucose?

Does anyone know anything about maltose?

Fructose will refill liver Glycogen. Not good for Carb up. you want to refill Muscle Glycogen first.
I use Dextrose. Now brand at health food store. 2 pounds 2.40.
Dextrose = glucose

Thanks Jag, I will keep an eye out for the NOW dextrose. I would like a more natural form of glucose, though.

How do you consume your dextrose?

Now dexstrose is natural its Corn Sugar.
I measure out perscribed grams Per body opus carb up program.
I swill down 151 grams of dextrose in a protein shake every two hours after depletion for the first 8 hours. then drop the dextrose to 85g + protein shake and 30 g cornflakes every two hours for the next 8 then 35g dextrose and real food for the next 8 etc

Actually, it's not a bad idea to refill liver glycogen at the beginning of the carbup, as it signals the body to shift out of ketosis and helps to accomplish supercompensation of muscle glycogen. This is assuming sufficient prior depletion of course.

Correct, ususally eat 2 apples fruit Prior to depletion to kick out of Keto. I was referring to post depletion carb up. And eating fructose during that phase. If liver Glycogen is full it would take longer go go back into keto.
