I have been on PP for about 1 week and was wondering if anybody could give me some input of the following. Fat 70-80% Carbs 5-6% Protein 25-30% Calories 2000-2500 daily. I weigh 280 lbs. Thanks for any comments.

Hi and welcome! It's difficult to give advice this early in the game. I think the real question is, are you getting the results you want? If you are losing weight, then I'd say you are doing perfectly. If not, then you may want to consider making modifications.

On a personal note, I was never able to lose at those percentages. That's about how I was eating when I originally did Atkins and it was just too much fat, not enough protein, and not enough carbs for me. But everyone is different and many people swear by percentages like those. Feel free to post on our daily thread and we will help you along your way! Good luck

Thanks WendyOH. It was a little tough the first few days. I was craving sweets, mainly after dinner. I now am having a root beer float after dinner (diet root beer and 2 oz. cream) It will be 1 week tomorrow and I have lost 5 lbs.

I agree, Lyn. You're doing great! Those percentages are more like Atkins than Protein Power, but who cares what you call it as long as it works.

Keep us posted on your progress!
