Default oatmeal

What kind of oatmeal do people eat on phase two? I found one with 13 carbs and 12g of fiberfor a 1/2cup. What are some of the brands you all have found?

okI couldnt image an oat ceral with as much fiber as flaxmeal. I grind flaxmeal for a "cereal" Its not all that good
even with a lot of cinnamon.

Hi Janette,

You can have regular oatmeal that you cook but not the microwave kind or quick oats.It is the Quaker kind that you cook for like 5 min. It is easy to eat more than we really should as a serving so in this way I think it can be a not so good thing.Go at it carefully and you may be ok.That also goes for all of the foods you will be adding back in slowly(slowly being the key)

Hoping this helps...
Linda

I really like the steel cut oats. They take about 30 minutes to cook but are nutty and chewy and very satisfying. I use a packet of Splenda in it and some cinnamon and nutmeg. Very tasty.
