Hi everyone, I'm new here and I really need some advice. I have been following induction for alittle over 3 weeks now. I lost 8lbs my first week of induction and the 2nd week i gained and lost 2lbs. ever since nothing. i stayed on induction since i hadn't lost much weight, but still i have lost nothing. i drink plenty of water, excercise some, and havn't added anything new to my foods since the very begginning. i dont know what to do. i've added atkins accel and L cartintane. can anyone please help, i'm really getting frustrated.
thank you!

Can you post a menu?

Do you use www.fitday.com to add your foods in?

2 jumbo egg omlette w/
ham and chesse
3 pieces of bacon
Lunch:
usually 2 cups of salad
with chicken or ham
Dinner:
some kind of meat (steak, chicken, hamburger)
1 cup of salad or broccoli. cheese on hamburgers.
snack:
string cheese or piece of chedder
i was eating sf jello, but deciced to see if aspartame was slowing me down
drink 8-12 glasses of water a day

Have you been doing any measuring? I lose either weight OR inches-but not both at the same time. Everytime I thought I was going no where, I was actually shrinking.

Also is TOM any where close? I always gain 3 pounds right before.

actually i started atkins during my TOM, so thats not it. i havn't measured. i have been marking that progress by putting on a pair of pants that are too small (i know it sounds strange) and they do fit better but that was from the first week. I was so exicted about getting started on this WOE and slowly my excitment turns into disappointment. I really want to lose atleast 20lbs and my goal was this june. i'm just not sure if its possible.

The pantometer is a very popular measuring tool!

I once went through a time where I didn't feel like I was losing weight or inches-then I realized my watch fit better. Like I needed to lose in my wrist! LOL! I usually lost inches in one body part at a time.

Don't give up-it might happen slower than you like, but it will happen.

BTW, I would move onto OWL. Many people report their weight loss picks up again once they do.

Usually more veggies. Add another cup of salad veggies or one more other kind of veggie.

Here are some other tips:

I lost best when my fat was 65-70% of all my calories, protein 20-25% and the rest carbs.

Keep your carb intake even throughout the day. Or, I made sure my night meal was the lowest in carbs.

Your menu looks good to me. Unfortunately those of us with relatively little to lose, lose it slower. It took me almost a year to dump 40 pounds. I don't know how tall you are (didn't look) but make sure your goal weight is a good one. I actually am less worried about the scale number and more concerned with my waist measurement and the size of clothes I fit into. As long as I can wear my size 6/7/8 pants, I don't care.

thanks for the suggestions. unfortunatly i'm sure your right about losing it slow since i dont need to lose so much. 125 is a healthy weight for me...i think it said anything under 114 would be underweight. i realize there are many out there that are in a much worse position than i, and believe me i'm very thankful that i'm not one who has to lose 100 lbs because i know it must be hard. but i must say that it still sucks! lol. i havn't been this good to give up now, so i'll keep on goin and see how it works.

Hi, you didn't say how much exercize you are getting. I walk 2 -3 miles a day and have noticed my smaller jeans actually fit me know. My weight loss has slowed, but the exercize is the reason I am losing inches! Good luck to you,

Missy

excercise had been hard for me...i do pilates 3 times a week. i'm a waitress aswell for my job, so i spend hours running back and forth. about the string cheese...i dont have any here, so i'm not sure. but to be honest...i didn't know there was a difference. i really like chedder and thats what i have been eating latley.
i've also been reading about stillmans on this site and i think i may try that for a while and see how it goes.
