Unhappy Sore Gums

Today is induction day 11 and I have noticed my gums are swelling a little. I think this happened to me when I did Atkins last year but didn't stay with it long enough to see if it goes away. Has anyone had any experience with this? My second question is can someone give me a breakdown of what vitamins I should be taking and how much? I have read that maybe a lack in vitamin C causes the gum problem. Help Please!

my gums got swollen but it turned out I just wasnt flossing well enough and I was eating more meat and the meat particles got stuck in there and caused my gums to swell.

Anyway I went to the dentist, got a cleaning, got put on antibiotics, told to listerine a few times a day, brush after meals and if I cant brush then floss after meals and brush 3 times a day and now my gums are fine.

I just listerine after I floss and before and after I brush and I carry glide floss because its really good and the green one (as gross as this sounds... tastes sweet)

When i did the induction my gums were soooo sore and it was from eating lots of meat..once my induction was over with and i started eating more veggies and a little less meat they stopped. I think our gums are not use to eating meat as much and it is harder on them since meat is sometimes hard to chew.

Are you eating anything irritating to the gums, like vinegar on salads? I had some gingivitis both times I've done Fat Flush, a plan that involves a lot of dilute cranberry juice, lemon juice, etc.

It's probably not a vitamin deficiency if you're taking a multivitamin and eating your veggies, as per the plan.
