Talking Adding carbs does help

I have been stalled for almost 2 months. It has been very frustrating. I had been eating my regular 20 grams or less the whole time. This week I started making the atkins pancakes for breakfast, about 6 grams of carbs per serving. I don't know if it is the added carbs or if it was finally time to start whooshing, but I have lost 4 lbs this week!!!

I too was worried about adding in more. It is a scary thing, but it worked. Go ahead and share away.

You body adjusts to a level and stops. Depending on the amount of calories you were consuming it could even have switched over into "starvation mode" where the metabolism slows way down in anticipation of having to conserve fat (not lose it like you want). There is really such a thing as having to eat more to lose weight. There is a reason why Dr. Atkins wants you to add carbs. Actually a number of reasons, metabolic and health reasons. In addition, he clearly states that his research proved that going below 20 carbs did nothing to promote faster weight loss. Its not magic, folks, its science.
